Better Late Than Never: The Road by Cormac McCarthy

in august, we read this:


its high marks rivaled Let the Great World Spin, authored by the similarly named Colum McCann. should we look for more CMcC authors?


it was a sober discussion


sara appears to be pondering post-apocalypse


but she was really counting the minutes until she could model the dress she just bought.

  1. I read this and give it a thumbs up. I like McCarthy's stuff and recall loving All the Pretty Horses when I read it way back in high school as well. I refuse to see the movie version of The Road as I have heard its very gruesome, and I like how the book leaves those parts up to the imagination.
    I've read many books from your book club so far and have enjoyed them all. My faves so far are Swan Thieves, White Tiger, and Let the Great World Spin. I read Bird Chronicles in college, not my thing although I appreciate the effort...
